My dearest friend Lindsey wants a portrait of her and her ferrets for a present so I thought I’d practice drawing them for a while before I commit… doodlinz’ fun. I’ve doodled ferrets before but not ones I know personally. Gotta figure out their character.

Another day that I awake, and I feel pretty stoked on life.

Working 12-8 at the bookstore but after that I’m going to relax with vodka. Tomorrow I’m buying a car and waiting on this book to come in the mail:

The price jump of owning this book in brand new condition is ridiculous. I’m getting a “good” used copy, haha.

I know where the inspiration for this piece comes from, but this image came in my mind when I took a nap one day! Sometimes my mind races before I fall asleep. I used to just worry but these days I try to only think up visuals instead of actual thoughts. So I turn my brain into a cognitive Tumblr, pretty much! hahaha And then they morph and converge together and you get this. See, tumblr’s not all that bad.

I keep making stuff! I really originally wanted this illustration to be a big wall mounted sculpture. A true dedication to the brain’s powerful pineal gland - But I think want to use real pine cones and branches so that could easily be interpreted as some sort of metaphysical/mentally-unstable craft project that I’m not ready to be responsible for creating.

But once I learn how to shellac pine cones, whoa buddy - we’re going to have some crazy ass wall sculptures about pineal glands.
For now it just kind of looks like tattoo flash. Neat! And I found a frame already that it perfectly fits into.
